New App Allows Parents to Pay for School Lunches
RST EPOS Launches Innovative App for Oakgrove Integrated College
RST EPOS, a leading provider of EPoS and school payment solutions, has developed a new app for Oakgrove Integrated College in Derry that allows parents to top up their children’s school lunch money account from their iPhone and Android mobile devices. The app, which is available for download from the App Store and Google Play, also enables parents to view their children’s transactions, balance and menu choices.
The app is integrated with the school’s biometric finger vein recognition system, which allows students to pay for their lunches using their registered finger vein pattern. This eliminates the need for cash, cards or PINs, and ensures a fast, secure and hygienic payment process.
Oakgrove Integrated College is the first school in Northern Ireland to adopt this innovative app and finger vein technology, which aims to improve the efficiency and convenience of school catering services. By allowing parents to conveniently top up their children's lunch money accounts using their smartphones, the app eliminates the need for physical payments or parents having to log on to websites, making the process faster, more secure and easy.
