Credit Card Payment

Use a credit card payment when the customer is paying through an integrated TapaPay payment device, also known as the PED.

Take a card payment

  1. Review the sale total on the POS.
  2. Select the credit card payment method.
  3. Press Pay £ with the sale amount shown beside it.
  4. The sale total is sent to the payment device (PED).
  5. The customer completes any tip or over-tender prompt if shown.
  6. The customer taps their card or enters their PIN on the PED.
  7. Once the payment is approved, the sale completes on the POS.

Tips and over-tender

Depending on the PED settings, the customer may be able to select a tip or over-tender the payment so the extra amount is treated as a tip.

Example: If the sale total is 24.00, the customer may choose to pay 25.00 on the PED so the extra 1.00 is given as a tip, if this is enabled.
