Guestline Rezlynx hotel posting setup

Use this guide when setting up TapaPOS to post transactions to Guestline Rezlynx.

TapaPOS

Create a hotel tender with type Guestline Rezlynx.

Guestline support will provide the necessary credentials. They map as follows:

  • Merchant ID: Site ID
  • Endpoint: Normally https://pmsws.eu.guestline.net/RLXSoapRouter/rlxsoap.asmx
  • Port: 443
  • Username: As provided
  • Password: As provided

Rezlynx

Analysis and payment codes must be created in Rezlynx to match references in TapaPOS.

These reference codes from TapaPOS must match Rezlynx codes in all cases, otherwise not all transactions will be posted.

TapaPOS will also record missing codes in the log output.

Analysis codes

Analysis codes for transaction items sent to Rezlynx will be derived from the location and department reference codes in TapaPOS using the format {location.cust_ref}_{department.cust_ref}.

For example this could result in BAR_STARTERS, BAR_MAINS, REST_STARTERS or REST_MAINS.

Remember: every department must exist in Rezlynx for each TapaPOS location that can use it. If you have STARTERS, MAINS and DESSERTS across two TapaPOS locations, you will need a matching analysis code for each location and department combination.

Any service charge, if configured, will be sent to Rezlynx in the format {location.cust_ref}_CHARGE, for example BAR_CHARGE or REST_CHARGE.

Payment type codes

Payment type codes for transaction payments will be derived from the tender cust_ref in TapaPOS as-is.

All tender references in TapaPOS must match a payment type code in Rezlynx because all transactions are posted to Rezlynx as part of full posting, regardless of whether the sale is a post-to-room or not.

Troubleshooting

Query the TapaPOS logs for hotel to investigate any issues.

FAQ

What if Rezlynx postings are missing some transaction lines?

Check that every required analysis code and payment type code exists in Rezlynx and matches the references sent from TapaPOS. Missing codes are also recorded in the TapaPOS log output.

Where should I look first if the integration is not posting?

Start by querying the TapaPOS logs for hotel and confirm the Guestline credentials, endpoint and mappings are correct.
