POS Kitchen Display Settings
Use Kitchen displays settings to view devices consuming the site's KDS licence seats and to refresh the list of paired kitchen devices.
KDS is now an Android app. Pair each Android kitchen display from the Tapa Kitchen app, then manage the paired device from this POS settings screen.
Licence usage
The licence usage panel shows how many kitchen display devices are paired against the number of available licence seats.
Paired kitchen display details
- Device type shows the paired device platform, such as Android.
- Status shows whether the kitchen display is online.
- Screen name shows the configured kitchen screen, such as Prep Screen.
- Last seen shows the most recent time the POS saw the kitchen display.
- App version shows the Tapa Kitchen app version running on the device.
- Paired shows when the display was paired to this site.
- Unpair removes one kitchen display from this POS.
- Unpair all removes all paired kitchen displays from this POS.
Pairing kitchen devices
- Open the Tapa Kitchen Android app on the kitchen display device.
- Select the master POS IP address.
- Choose Save & Connect.
- Choose Load Displays.
- Choose the required kitchen display.
- Choose Pair Display.
- Return to Settings > Kitchen displays on the POS.
- Use Refresh to reload the paired device list.
If no kitchen devices are listed, no device has been accepted by the master yet, or the list needs to be refreshed after pairing.
