POS Sales Settings
Use the Sales settings screen to control how sales start, which prices and menus are used, how staff sign off, and which table or order options are available on this POS terminal.
Open Sales settings
- Open the POS menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Sales from the left-hand settings list.
General sales options
- Sales mode controls how sales are started on the POS.
- Quick Sale opens straight onto the sales screen.
- Tables opens the default table plan.
- Both lets the operator choose Sales or Tables.
- Retail shows the retail-style sales screen.
- Price model can auto-select a default price model, or be set to Prompt so the operator chooses when a sale starts, such as Eat In or Take Away.
- Initial lookup menu sets the first product menu shown when the selling screen opens.
- Logoff after sale signs the operator out when a sale is completed.
- Auto logoff timeout signs the operator out after a set number of inactive seconds. Set the value to 0 to disable it.
- Change screen auto-continue sets how many seconds the change screen counts down before it disappears automatically. Set the value to 0 to disable it.
- Skip change screen continues immediately after payment without showing change, offering a receipt, or opening the cash drawer. This is intended for cashless installations.
Product, kitchen, customer, table, and order options
- Show prices shows the currently determined product price on lookup buttons.
- Barcode learn allows an unrecognised retail barcode to create a product from the POS.
- Send immediate sales to kitchen sends kitchen dockets or cards for sales completed directly at the till. Table and parked orders are always sent.
- Show account balance above transaction grid shows the attached customer, current account balance, and remaining balance after the live sale.
- Initial table area sets the default floor area shown when table service starts.
- Enable interval drinks enables interval fulfilment controls for theatre and performance venue sales.
- Auto-accept online orders automatically accepts incoming provider orders on the master POS and sends them to the kitchen.
Changing sales settings can affect live operators immediately. Make changes outside busy service where possible, then test a normal sale before handing the terminal back to staff.

What does setting a timeout to 0 do?
For timeout fields shown in Sales settings, 0 disables the automatic action.
Should I enable Skip change screen?
Only enable it where change handling, receipt prompts, and cash drawer opening are not required, such as a cashless terminal.
