How do I set up tables so that they can be joined for large bookings?
What are table joins?
Table joins allow multiple tables to be connected so larger groups can be seated together. When a large reservation request is received, the system checks for a suitable single table first and then can suggest joined tables if needed.
Table joins are configured inside Table Areas.
Creating a new table join
- Go to Settings > Tables > Table Areas.
- Edit the required area.
- Open the Table Joins section.
- Select the tables to be joined from the dropdown.
- Enter the number of covers the joined tables can accommodate.
- Click Save to save the join.
- Click Save again to save the table area.
- Use Update Tills and Send Changes to apply the joins to the reservations widget.
Refresh the widget browser after saving and allow up to two minutes for the changes to apply.

Will joined tables be suggested automatically for large groups?
Yes. If a single suitable table is not available, the system can suggest a joined combination that matches the requested party size.
Where are table joins configured?
Table joins are set inside the relevant Table Area, not directly against the service.
